| TASC solar cells are ideally suited for small area modules. The cost per cell is surprisingly low, especially for large quantities.
With over twice the power generated by average silicon solar cells, TASC solar cells are suitable for high power terrestrial applications where space is at a premium. Multiple solar cells can be arranged to form a rectangular area (see data sheet). Each solar cell is ideally matched to provide power to a single 1.2V battery charger. Cells wired in parallel can generate increased current.
Compared to silicon solar cells, each TASC cells generates the equivalent voltage that 5 silicon solar cells do. Consequently, TASC cells generate twice the power of silicon solar cells for a given area.
TASC solar cells are sold in boxes of 100. Each box costs $250.00 USD. There are two types of cells with one being a mirror image of the other.
